Quick Theory: the Abyss Sibling plans to reset the samsara cycle of teyvat back to (at least) their moment of separation, and the loom of fate is responsible for setting up leylines capable of messing history in a way to achieve just that.

I love how the “main” story keeps going after version 5.3. Usually after the end of an Archon Quest we have long periods of no progression story wise, but it is not the case in version 5.X: After the end of the Natlan Archon Quest we had the Raiden Shogun event, Little One conclusion, Mondstadt story and now this. Genshin is getting less and less filler and I’m loving it!
